Gnosis 5 ~ by Seth Jacob
Harry Phelt is a small time drug dealer who’s offered a chance to sell a drug called Gnosis 5 that turns regular people into geniuses.
Harry Phelt was just a small time drug dealer until he’s offered a chance to sell an experimental drug that transforms ordinary people into geniuses. Little does he know, he is about to embark on a journey that will take him from underground government bases to the cockpit of a UFO, the insides of a blackhole, and the far reaches of the known universe.
Fascinating science fiction with surprising twists, alternate universes, secretive underground laboratories, and “aliens”. I enjoyed Harry Phelt’s travels outside the confines of his universe. At the beginning, I thought this was going to be another “Charlie” story (the story of a slow-witted man who became a genius after taking a drug – but then only to have his intelligence fade once again). That would have been fun to read, but this novel goes far beyond that simple story into an explanation of multiverse worlds and how they begin.
This book provides a fresh, unexpected explanation of the creation of our (and other) universes and the big bang theory. I’ve always liked good science fiction that focuses on scientfic possibilities rather than monsters and monster battles between the good and bad monsters and this is excellent. Asimov writes this type of science fiction and his work is classic. Your writing is captivating and has the potential to become as much of a classic as Asimov or Heinlein or any of the other great writers who proposed alternate ways of looking at life: its beginning, its meaning, and its possible outcomes. Many stars for a new GOOD science fiction writer!~Patricia A. Johnson-Laster, Break Free!
